The draw wire sensor 7D series measures linear position and inclination (optional). It consists of a stainless flexible cable, wound around a spring loaded drum, and a rotary sensor. A combination of gears converts linear into rotational motion that drags a magnet. The position of the magnet is detected by a hall effect element and converted into an output signal.
